Eligibility Criteria:
• Must be a Pakistani citizen (Live in Pakistan)
• Should not be an Australian citizen.
• Must have completed 16 years of education and have five years of relevant work experience in Pakistan.
• Should be under 45 years of age at the time of submitting the application.
• People with a disability who meet the eligibility criteria may apply with an IELTS score of 6.0 with no band less than 5.0. However, if they are selected, they must re-sit an English Language Proficiency test (arranged by Australia Awards – Pakistan) and achieve the required score before they can take up their scholarship.
• Must submit a Development Impact and Linkages Plan, outlining clear objectives and motivations to contribute to development in Pakistan.
• Must commit to returning to Pakistan upon completion of their study for at least two years.
• The scholarship will not be available for courses of study in Australia where the applicant has already achieved the equivalent qualification in Australia.
• Australia Awards will request recognition of prior learning for all scholarship recipients from Pakistan. If granted, the recipient may be placed in a degree program that may be shorter in duration than the one they originally applied for.

- Degree certificates (Bachelor’s and Master’s level) – both sides of all degrees should be copied (original degree certificate, certified OASIS document).
- Academic transcripts (Bachelor’s and Master’s level) – both sides of all transcripts should be copied (academic transcript, certified OASIS document)
- Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) – Template available on the Australia Awards – Pakistan website (original document)
- IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE results valid as of 1 January 2024 (proof of English language proficiency, original document)
- Recommendation Letter (two reports for Master’s by Research applicants; one for Master’s by Coursework applicants) (referee report template, certified OASIS document)
- Employment referee report (same template as above) (referee report template, certified OASIS document)
- No objection certificate for public sector applicants (another document, certified OASIS document)

The selection process for the Australia Awards scholarships includes the following steps:
• Applications will be checked to see if they meet the requirements.
• Only those who meet the requirements will be contacted.
• Applicants will be interviewed and assessed based on their academic abilities, potential contribution to development in Pakistan, and relevant work experience.
• Successful candidates will be informed by August 2023.
• If selected, awardees will need to meet certain requirements set by the Australian Government and State and Territory governments before they can travel.
